Munster Combined Events and Munster B Individual T&F at Templemore

The club was well represented on Sunday 29th August in Templemore with many great performances and 7 medals. Some pics of some of the crew who made the trip.
The medal winners were Hugo Blair who came third in The Combined events U11 boys (Long Jump, Shot putt and 600m) and in the B individual events Lynsey Maguire was 2nd in the U11 300m, Ethan Flynn won gold in the 300m and bronze in the U9 long jump, Saoirse Casey Power was 2nd in U16 100m and Nicole Rowe won the U16 Long jump and was 3rd in the 800m.
Other club members who competed were Una & Aoife Fitzgerald, Louise Reidy, Eamon Casey Power, Conor Quinn, Ethan Robinson, Jamie & Nicole McCarthy and Emma, Luke & Fergus O'Brien.
That was the last track & field of the year so cross country training beckons for the next few weeks.
Training continues on Tues and Thurs this week.

Well done to Caroline Farrelly on winning a silver medal in the U18 200m Steeplechase in Tullamore on Saturday last. In the same race Siobhain Heylin won Bronze. A great day for the girls and for the club. A well deserved payoff for all the hard training.

No training again

No training at the RSC on Tuesday next June 8th & June 15th!

Of course if you have a garden there are plenty of drills you can be doing, or beaches to run on or parks to run around (well maybe not plenty of parks!).

Best of luck to Siobhain Heylin, competing in the All Ireland Schools finals in Tullamore on Sat, June 5th.

Great days out at the County Championship at the RSC

Showing off some of the county medals!

And even some of the coaches showed how it is done!!

In glorious weather on both Sundays Waterford AC juveniles had a great show with county champions from U9 through to U18. A great thanks is due to all who helped out on both days, whether coaching, organising or cheering on!

With such a big club membership now it was clear to see in 'the sea of blue' (and a few white) club hoodies that Waterford AC are a force to be reckoned with.

Well done to all and we look forward to training for the munster championships in June.
