Training update and National Cross Country this Sunday
Due to the number of Friday nights missed due to the inclement weather we would like to see as many Waterford AC members at training between now and Christmas. ALL Members from age 5 to age 19 are asked to come to training tonight Tuesday, Friday night at 6:30 and next Tuesday at 7pm to finish our 2010 year and battle the weather..........that means lots of clothes; hats, gloves, scarves and anything else to keep you warm!
13 athletes have qualified to run on Sunday next in Tullamore at the National Cross country finals and we are running a bus pulling away from the RSC at 8am. The Athletes are Hugo Blair, Fergus O'Brien, Conor Quinn, Jamie McCarthy, Luke O'Brien, Saoirse Casey Power, Emma O'Brien, Nicole Rowe, Niamh Tebay, Kate Nolan, Siobhain Heylin, Caroine Farrelly, Claire Grant and Andy Linares. If you would like to travel on the bus please let Tom or Albert know or text 086 3787051 and be at the RSC ready to pull away at 8am on Sunday morning.

No training this week
Unfortunately, while the snow is nice to play in, the RSC track is not available so, for our evening sessions, its a non-runner!
Hopefully, we will be back next week: on Monday at Cilbarra for our indoor session at 6pm or Tuesday at 7pm and Friday at 6:30pm both at the RSC.
In the meantime, have a look at the following warm up routine from Runnersworld magazine. It is important for every athlete to have a warm up and cool down routine that they are familiar with, particularly during the track and field season..both indoor and outdoor!
